Are Set for 2 P.M


Body to Lie in State, Vinita Rites and Burial Will Be Saturday

    Funeral services for Judge James S. Davenport of the criminal court of appeals will be in the Hahn funeral home Friday at 2 p.m., with Rev. Paul S. Wright, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiating.
    The body will lie in state at the capitol from 10 a.m. until noon. A second service will be at Vinita, Davenport’s home city, Saturday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Vinita’s Fairview cemetery.
    Judge Davenport died of a heart ailment in the Biltmore hotel lobby Wednesday.
Active bearers will be J. Berry King, Carl Sebring, W.C. Lewis, Ray O. Weems, William Hobbs, E.L. Neff, Paul Hoheisel and P.G. King.
    Honorary bearers, including state officials, former officials and friends of Davenport on the eastern side of the state will be: [a very long list of names omitted]
