VINITA, May 24.—Charles Worley jr., 3, died early Friday
morning at a Vinita hospital from injuries received at 7
p.m. Thursday when he was struck by a car on US 66 near his
home west of Vinita.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Worley, the child was struck
by a car driven by Joe Holt, 30, of 2100 NE 14, Oklahoma
City. Holt, who was not held, told Carl Trigg, highway
patrolman, he made every effort to halt his automobile
before striking the child. Funeral services will be held
Saturday at 4 p.m., with burial in a Vinita cemetery.
The death of Charles jr., was the second tragedy to strike
the Worley family in a month. A 7-day old son died May 6.
