VINITA, Feb. 19.—Hubert Foster has been appointed by the
city council to fill out the unexpired term of city
treasurer J. Frank Kimbrough who died suddenly last week.
City clerk Slater McClure has been authorized to approve a
$30,000 bond for Foster. The bond will be a continuation of
the one held by Kimbrough.
Foster will serve as city treasurer until the new term
starts Tuesday, May 3. City elections are slated in March
and April.
