VINITA—R.C. Ives, 70, prominent Vinita businessman who died
here at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, will be buried in Fairview
cemetery Tuesday.
Ives, who came to Vinita in 1925, had organized and operated
the R.C. Ives Lumber Co. for over 20 years.
As a tribute to the memory of the pioneer businessman,
Vinita stores will remain closed during the funeral services
to be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday from the Luginbuel Brothers
chapel. Rev. Dwight R. Hunt, Methodist church pastor, will
officiate.
Survivors include: the widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Ives; three
daughters, Mrs. Wayne Alexander of Laverne, Mrs. Helen
Haight of Amarillo, Texas, and Mrs. James Harder of
Healdton; one son, Robert of Vinita; six brothers, one
sister, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
