The 1952 highway death toll rose to 587 Monday with the
death of Mrs. Ethyl Brotherton, 61, of Miami. She was
fatally injured December 29 in a head-on collision two miles
north of Vinita on U.S. 66.
She was taken to the Baptist General hospital in Miami where
she died Sunday morning of a head injury.
