Car, Driver Hunted After Boy, 17, Dies
The driver of a yellow convertible was the object of a
statewide search Monday following the hit-and-run highway
death of Joseph Lesky Breshears, 17, of Pensacola, Mayes
county.
Brashears was found on U.S. 69, about 10 miles south of
Vinita at 2 a.m. Monday. He was rushed to a Vinita hospital
where he died at 3:40 a.m.
Trooper Tom Ballard said Breshears had been struck down by
the hit-and-run driver and dragged 30 feet.
