Services Today For Oklahoman Killed in Korea
 

    VINITA, Aug. 23—Services for Lieut. Thomas Franklin Wood, 24-year-old former Tulsan who was killed in action June 13 in Korea, will be held at 4 p.m. Monday in the Burckhalter Memorial chapel. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
    Wood, son of Mrs. Clinton F. Wood, Vinita, was born July 17, 1929, in Tulsa. He was graduated from Tulsa Central highschool in 1946. He attended Stanford university, Palo Alto, Calif., from 1947 until he entered the army Jan. 17, 1951, while a senior at Stanford. He received his basic training at Fort Bragg, N.C., and later was graduated from officers’ candidate school at Fort Benning, Ga. A member of the infantry, Wood had been in Korea three months.
    Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: his wife, Mrs. Mary M. Wood and one son, Thomas Mitchell Wood, both of the home in Berkley, Calif.; and his grandmother, Mrs. T.M. Buffington, Vinita.
