VINITA, Dec. 10—Services for Forrest LeRoy McDowell, 33,
Vinitan who died Tuesday night of burns suffered in a
gasoline explosion and fire a few hours earlier, will be at
1:30 p.m. Friday in the Baptist church in Kingfisher.
McDowell suffered the fatal burns in a local garage when
gasoline fumes were ignited by a gas stove nearby. Wesley W.
Fisher, garage employe, who suffered burns on the hands and
arms. He is receiving treatment in a local hospital.
McDowell, employed as a truck driver for the K.C. Jeffries
Oil Co. of Miami, Okla., was born in Kingfisher county,
Okla., in 1919. He was a graduate of White Oak highschool
near Vinita.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Angela McDowell, two
daughters, Viola and Julie, and one son, Forrest LeRoy, all
of the home in Vinita; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Liter
McDowell, White Oak; three brothers, Everett, Salina, Kan.;
Murvil, Dover; and Cleo, Guthrie; and two sisters, Mrs.
Leola Rasp, Muskogee; and Mrs. Curna Jones, Oklahoma City.
