VINITA—Services for Sim Booton, 79, a resident of Craig
county since 1893, who died Tuesday in the Welch hospital
after a long illness, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the
Welch Methodist church.
Booton, born in Wayne county, W.Va., moved to Western Kansas
with his parents in 1884. He farmed west of Welch for
several years and later worked as cashier at the Welch State
bank for 20 years.
He was a member of the Methodist church and of the Masonic
lodge at Welch.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Etta Booton; two sons,
Floyd Booton, Vinita, and Paul Booton, 4011 N. Georgia,
Oklahoma City; one daughter, Mrs. Albert Maxwell, 2917
Venice Blvd., Oklahoma City; and two grandchildren.
