VINITA—Services for Norman Joy, 76, retired Vinita
businessman who died Wednesday after a long illness, was
Friday in the First Methodist church here.
Joy, born in Lafayette county, Missouri, moved to Yale when
a young man and resided there until 1919 when he came to
Vinita. He operated the Vinita Plow Co. until ill health
forced him to retire in 1939. He was a member of the
Methodist church.
Survivors include his wife, Edith; two sons, D.G. and
Garland, both of Bartlesville; one daughter, Mrs. Audruff
Vance, of the home; one brother, Era Joy, Richmond, Mo.;
three sisters, Mrs. Newt Boston, Pleasant Hill, Mo.; Mrs.
Hugh Taylor, Blue Springs, Mo.; and Mrs. Mansell Manford,
Kansas City, and one grandchild.
