WELCH, Dec. 11—Funeral arrangements are pending for James E.
Wheatley, 62, prominent Welch merchant who died Friday in
the home of his sister, Mrs. Gordon Parsley, Tulsa, after a
short illness.
Arrangements will be announced by Luginbuel Brothers Funeral
home, Vinita.
Wheatley and his brother, Everett, had operated a grocery
store here for about 30 years.
He was born in 1893 in Missouri and had lived in Welch for
more than a quarter of a century. He was a member of the
Christian church and of the Masonic lodge. He was a veteran
of World war I.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah; one son, James E.
Wheatley jr., of the home; his mother Mrs. Ada M. Wheatley,
Tulsa; two brothers, Everett M., Welch; and Richard L.,
Vinita; and three sisters, Mrs. D.L. Ross, Tulsa; Mrs. Hugh
Miller, Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. Gordon Parsley, Tulsa.
