VINITA, Feb. 5—Services for Lee W. Webb, 81-year-old Vinita
pioneer and retired law enforcement officer who died Friday
in his home here, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in Luginbuel
Brothers funeral chapel.
Webb was born Sept. 22, 1873, in Jackson county, Mo., and
came to Vinita when he was about 10 years old.
He served as Vinita police chief, Craig county undersheriff
and deputy U.S. marshal before being elected Craig county
sheriff in 1918. He served two terms as sheriff. Later, he
was in the real estate business here. In recent years, he
was employed as court bailiff.
Survivors include his wife and one brother, Albert Webb,
Colorado.
