VINITA—Services for Albert ‘Sam” Woodard, 66-year-old
retired butcher and long-time Craig countian who died Sunday
in an Oklahoma City hospital after a long illness, will be
at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Burckhalter Memorial chapel.
Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
Woodard, born in Tahlequah, had lived in Craig county for 55
years.
Survivors include: His wife, Millie Woodard of the home, one
mile south of Vinita; four daughters , Mrs. Ted R. Hicks,
Vinita; Mrs. William Herrell, 2828 NW _2nd place, Oklahoma
City; Mrs. Timer Webb, Tulsa, and Mrs. Bob Whitebird, Quapaw;
five sons, James Alfred Woodard, route 3, Vinita; Charley
Woodard, Tulsa; Otis Leroy Woodard and John Dick Woodard,
both of Vinita, and Bobby Lee Woodard, Claremore; one
sister, Mrs. Nell Paris, McAlester; one brother, Burt
Woodard, West Los Angeles, Calif.; 15 grandchildren and two
great-grandchildren.
