VINITA, March 1—Services for Jerome Worthington Gump, long
time Vinita resident who died Friday in his home here after
a six-year illness, were Tuesday in Glenn Springs, S.C.
Burial will be in the Glenn Springs cemetery.
Gump, born Dec. 18, 1876, in Bristol, Tenn., came to Vinita
in 1912 and worked as bookkeeper at several local concerns.
In recent years he served as clerk at the Vinita community
sales day. He retired a few years ago.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs. Rose Gump of the home; and
one brother, Harry N. Gump.
