VINITA—Services for Samuel Clinton McFarland, 70-year-old Vinitan who died Tuesday following a heart attack, will be
held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Burckhalter Memorial chapel
here.
McFarland, a resident of Vinita for 11 years, formerly lived
in Oklahoma City and Tahlequah. He was a retired farmer and
a former employe of the Oklahoma Gas and Electric Co.
He was a member of the Trinity Baptist church and the Vinita
Masonic lodge. He was a 32nd degree Mason of the McAlester
consistory.
Survivors include his wife, Effie; one son, Dean N.,
Wichita, Kan.; one daughter, Mrs. Doyle Moreland, San
Antonio, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Julia Parker, Ogden, Utah;
two brothers, Emery McFarland, Winslow, Ariz., and Charles,
route 3, Vinita; eight grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
