VINITA—Services for Al Berger, 76, former Vinita shoe
merchant who had been an invalid since 1924, will be at 10
a.m. Tuesday in Vinita, with burial in Neosho, Mo., at 1:30
p.m. Burckhalter funeral home is in charge.
Berger, a resident of Vinita since 1900, died late Sunday
after suffering a heart attack.
Survivors include two sons, Ben, who is state editor of the
Oklahoma City Times and Daily Oklahoman; David, Tulsa; a
daughter, Mrs. Annabelle Tarrant, Kirksville, Mo.; and five
grandchildren.
