VINITA, April 12—Services for Adolphus Hatcher Brewer, 72, a
resident of White Oak five years who died Tuesday in a
Picher, Okla., hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the
First Methodist church here.
Brewer, a pioneer oil field superintendent in Oklahoma and
Texas, retired five years ago and moved to White Oak with
his wife. He was born near Petersburg, Tenn.
He was a member of the First Methodist church, Vinita;
Masonic lodge, Tulsa; and the Skiva temple shrine, Amarillo.
Survivors in addition to his wife Daisy Mae, include one
son, M-Sgt. George, stationed with the airforce in Japan;
one step-son, John Arthur Quigley, St. Joesph, Mo.; two
daughters, Mrs. Athene June Weddington, Borger, Texas, and
Mrs. Irene Bolander, Bakersfield, Calif.; one brother, C.B.,
Cherry Grove, Ore.; three sisters, Mrs. J.L. Hayes,
Westville; Mrs. Isa Meester, Kan., and Mrs. Anna Shultz,
Morristown, Ariz., and five grandchildren.
