VINITA—Services for Ammie Lowe, 76, former longtime Vinitan
who died Sunday in a local hospital after a long illness,
will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Burckhalter Memorial
chapel.
Lowe, a resident of Afton, was born in Tiptonville, Tenn. He
had lived in Vinita 60 years before moving to Afton in 1943.
A machinist, he formerly operated a garage in Vinita.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, one daughter, Mrs. Jack
Voyles, Fredericksburg, Va.; one son, Bill, Whittier,
Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Belle Nix, Grand Prairie, Texas;
and five grandchildren.
