Class of children at the "OLD" West Point School, taken 1913 and showing mother Bessie Leona Romines 4th from the right in the back row. The school at this time was about 1 mile north of the present abandoned school. Nothing of the school exists but the foundation near the West Point cemetery.
    George W Mitchell's Children shown in the photo are from the "ORIGINAL INDIAN SCHOOL's" founder which started in the cabin of George @ Mitchell's home. This was the location my mother started her education in 1901. The second school was on Mitchell's land as well as the present abandoned school building, but different locations.
