Bank Robbers Are Run Down

Two Young Men Take $1,000 At Kellyville;
Caught By Possemen

Kellyville. Dec. 6 - (Special)

Two youthful bank robbers held up the Bank of Kellyville Thursday, forced the cashier to turn over about $1000 in cash and escaped, but were surrounded in a thicket by a posse shortly afterward and captured after a gun battle. No one was wounded in the exchange of shots. The loot was recovered.

Dennis Williams, 19 years old and John Eldridge, 18 years old, were taken to the Creek county jail at Sapulpa and admitted to officers that they had committed the robbery. A third man, Bill Pritchett, 20 years old, was held for investigation in connection with the case, but he denied having any part of it.

The bank was broken into and robbed two weeks ago and $20 in small change taken. A small pistol, also stolen from the bank in the first robbery, was found in the weeds near where the two men were captured Thursday.

Young Eldridge is a son of Joe Eldridge, formerly a deputy sheriff of Creek county, but now living in Borger, Texas.
