Bristow Items
The high waters Sunday did much damage to the farmers. In some places the soil as deep as it had been plowed was washed away. She farmers who had land on the creek bottom were the ones to suffer the most. The Frisco track between here and Oklahoma City is n bad shape, trains going y way of Guthrie at present.
----
The first car of pipe for carrying the gas to Bristow was unloaded the first of the week and is being hauled out mow. We understand work will be commenced Monday laying the supply line in town. If the work is rushed we will be burning gas by the first of August.
-----
The survey of the Yankton & Southern, promoted by Cincinnati and local capitalists, has been pushed from Wichita, Kas., to beyond Bristow, Ok., in Creek county. The engineers have been instructed to survey the line so that it will have no curves greater than 8 degrees and no grades greater than one-half of 2 per cent, or 26 feet to the mile.
