The Wilcox Company have a rig up in Section 2, 15, 8, just east
of the poor farm, on Albert Kelly land. It is about half way between
Depew and Bristow.
The Prairie test south of town are down about 1550 feet. We understand
that they got about 30 feet of sand a few days ago, but no oil
or gas.
The rig is being put up on the Dr. Lumm land in Section 8, township
14, range 8, six miles south of town. The Prairie are also putting
down this test.

Oklahoma who will regret to hear of his death. Mr. Kinch accompanied

To Improve Mail Service
There is talk of asking the post office department to give us
another mail west each day. As it is we just have one mail going
west and that is at 5:15 each evening. Ten years ago when Depew
was a small town we received mail off of nearly every train and
as the town grows we see no reason why we should not have better
mail service.

Fine Breeding Stock
W.B. Bennett received a fine Percheron Horse and the largest Jack
we have ever seen last Saturday from Missouri. He had purchased
them some time ago. We are pleased to see our farmers interested
in raising better stock and the kind that Mr. Bennett has layed
out hard cash for should be appreciated by our horsemen.
