He came to Beggs, Okla., in 1903, leaving there
for Depew in 1908, where he engaged in the hardware business for
several years with R. P. Barker. Theirs was the first hardware
store in Depew. For the past few years on account of his being
in feeble health he has not engaged in any regular business.

Ray Greene Married
We saw in the Tulsa World a few days ago where Ray Greene had
been granted a license to marry Miss Clara Crow, of Okmulgee.
We have never had the pleasure of meeting the young lady, but
can say that she used good judgement in picking Ray. He is the
youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Greene and has grown from a
barefoot boy to manhood in Depew. He is industrious and a fine
young fellow. He has a good position with an oil company at Okmulgee
and is doing fine.
They are expected to visit in Depew in a few days with Ray’s parents.

Young Man Accidently Shot
Another tragedy added to the "didn’t know it was loaded"
list. Last Friday George Brown, of south of Depew was accidently
shot by Noah Dotson, another farmer boy. The boys were playing
with a shot gun when the later pointing it at the body of the
Brown boy pulled the trigger, thinking that there were no loads
in the gun. The Brown boy was brought to town where his wound
was dressed. He is getting along alright but will probably be
crippled for some time.
