Freda May Adams, 59, of Sand Springs,
died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2003 at St. John Medical Center.
Freda was born Sept. 28, 1944 in Stroud.
She was a member of the Church of God in Sand Springs, attended
Sapulpa schools and was employed for the State of Oklahoma in
the juvenile department.
Freda was married to John Adams on Oct.
7, 1961 in Sapulpa.
She was preceded in death by her mother,
Arvilla Reason, and step-father Theodore Holley-man.
Survivors are her husband, John, of the
home; daughter Sonya Compher, of Tulsa; grandchildren Jonathan
Harbert, Alyssa Harbert, Michael Harbert and Steven Harbert;
great-grandchild Jonathan Jason Harbert; her father, Damon
Mathis; sister Ruby Fay Hand, of San Diego, Calif.; and several
nieces and nephews.
Freda was a loving wife, mother and
grandmother, a great person who will be missed by all her family
and friends. She was the rock of the family.
Funeral services for Mrs. Adams have
been set for 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, 2003 in the Smith Funeral
Home Chapel with the Rev. Ted Carr officiating.
Interment will follow in the
Green Hill Memorial
Gardens under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home.
