Updated: 06 Sep 2009 ALLEN, Ruth Ruth Allen, 92, of Georgetown, Texas, died Tuesday in Georgetown. Graveside services are scheduled for 2 pm Friday at South Heights Cemetery with Rev. Don Price officiating. Burial will follow at South Heights Cemetery under the direction of Davis Funeral Home of Georgetown, Texas. A resident of Georgetown for seven years, she is a former resident of Midland, Texas. She was born November 8, 1899 in Richwood Ohio, to Oscar V. and Jennie June (CARPENTER) DAVIS. She married Otis E. Allen on December 23, 1929, in Tulsa. He preceded her in death in 1958. A homemaker, she was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include daughters, Mrs. J. D. WINKLER of Georgetown, Texas, and Mrs. Margaret A. GRANT of Vienna, Virginia; six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. |
