Allen Funeral Held Here At 2:30 Today

Funeral services for Sam T. Allen, prominent local attorney, were held today at 2:30 pm in the First Methodist Church here.

Rev. J. C. Curry officiated. Pallbearers were Lester Katz, Guy Berry, Sr., Claude J. Davenport, Ottis Rule, Alfred Reel, Brooke Thrift, Milo Reed of Wewoka and Herbert P. Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers include all members of the Creek county bar association and the local American Legion.

Allen was born and spent his early manhood in Tennessee, but had lived the last 38 years of his life in this area.

The body will be shipped to Allen’s birthplace for interment. Owen-Landrith Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Rev. Frank Graham, former pastor delivered the sermon.
