George Hubert Aston, 82, died Friday, March 24, 1995 at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center after a lengthy illness.
Services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Don Price officiating. Burial will be in
Green Hills Memorial Gardens, directed by Smith Funeral Home.
He was born Dec. 25, 1912 in Ardmore.
He married Mary Katherine Favorite on Oct. 28, 1934 in a double wedding
ceremony with her sister, Mildred and Robert L. Stewart.
He graduated from Sapulpa High School. He was a charter member of the Auxiliary Police, the Methodist Men of First United Methodist Church, Elks Lodge and the Early 30’s group. He worked for Rogers Bakery in Sapulpa and retired in 1975 from Continental Baking Co., as a supervisor. After retirement, he worked as dispatcher at the police station and at Oral Roberts University.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine; daughter, Connie Wilson; three sisters, Mary Royer, Minnie Calhoun and Doris Hicks, all of Tulsa; a brother, Don Aston, Redondo Beach, CA; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will be at home at 1112 E. Melinda Road. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church.
