Avra, 69, 1446 E. Jones, died Saturday at
St. John Medical Center in Tulsa.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am Tuesday at Ridgeway Baptist
Church with the Rev. John Bartels officiating.
Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of
Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Avra was born Feb 8, 1922 in Sapulpa. He was a retired salesman. He was
a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church, Sapulpa Sooner Group, and a past president
of sundown Lions Club. He was a courier for Bartlett Hospital after his
retirement. He married Armilda Sherrill Oct. 28, 1941, in Claremore.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Martin Avra.
Survivors include wife, Armilda; son Gary Avra of Sapulpa; daughter Carol Ann
Barham of Fort Smith, Ark.; brother Paul Avra of Blackwell; five grandchildren;
and one great-grandchild.

Mr. Darell Eugene Avra, 69, died October 19, 1991 at St. John Medical Center.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 am Tuesday at Ridgeway Baptist

He was born February 8, 1922 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He was a retired salesman.
He was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church, Sundown Lions Club, Past
President of Sundown Lions, Sapulpa Sooner Group. Was Courier for Bartlett
Hospital after retirement.
He married Armilda Sherrill October 28, 1941 in Claremore. They would have
celebrated their 50th anniversary this month.
Survivors include: wife Armilda of the home, son Gary Avra of Sapulpa,
daughter Carol Ann Barham of Fort Smith, Arkansas, brother Paul Avra of
Blackwell, Oklahoma.
Grandchildren Deanna Avra, Holly Fisher, John Fisher, Katie Fisher, Tami
Wolfe. Great Granddaughter Alexis Wolfe.
Preceded in death by: parents Jake and Lela Avra, brother Marvin Avra.

Casketbearers were Bun Burns, Ron Roseborough, David Stroup, Dean Baker, Gene
Carrithers and Gene Hashagen. Mr. Avra, a Sapulpa resident all of his life, died
Saturday at St. John Medical Center.
