Ben Baker, a former prosecutor in Creek County, died Sunday.

A memorial service is to be held at 2 pm Saturday in All Souls Unitarian Church.

Baker began his prosecutorial career in the Creek County district attorney's office and moved on to work in the Tulsa County district attorney's office as well. He was a decorated World War II Navy torpedoman. He garnered commendations from two FBI directors including J. Edgar Hoover. He retired in 1991 from the U. S. Attorney's office.

Banker is survived by daughter Mary Baker of Tulsa and brother Wright Baker of Washington, DC.
