Lawrence Banks, 69, of Mounds, died Thursday at Saint Francis Hospital, Tulsa.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Saturday at the Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. C. Dewitt Boyce officiating.

Burial will follow in Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Banks was born July 17, 1921, in Schulter, and had lived in the Mounds area since 1941. He was retired from Gabe’s Office Supply where he worked as a printer. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.

Survivors include children John and Liz MCKELVEY of Mounds, sister Sevola NORDAHAL of Snora, CA; two grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Mr. Banks will lie in state at the funeral home until 9am Saturday. The casket will not be opened at the service.
