PAUL D. BECKHAM

BROKEN ARROW — Services for Paul D. Beckham were today at the Broken Arrow Assembly of god with the Revs. Tom Goins and Harry Myers officiating.’

Burial was in Floral Haven Memorial Gardens under the direction of Hayhurst Funeral Home.

Mr. Beckham died Saturday at Saint John Medical Center, Tulsa.

He was born Nov. 1, 1925, in Okmulgee. He graduated from Broken Arrow High School in 1943 and from Northeastern A&M College in 1948.

He served as an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper in the early 1950’s. He was a former chief of police in Broken and retired as Broken Arrow’s chief building inspector in 1989.

Mr. Beckham served in the Army from Feb. 7, 1944, to March 16, 1946. He was a member of the Broken Arrow Assembly of God, where he served as usher and president of the Harbor Lights Sunday School Class.

He married Lorene Lemon Coffelt May 6, 1971, in Broken Arrow.

Survivors include wife Lorene; daughters Mrs. Bob (Paula) Freeman of Tulsa, Mrs. Rick (Karen) Metzger of Broken Arrow and Mrs. Richard (Janet) Pitts of Sapulpa; sons Carl Coffelt of Broken Arrow and Ted Beckham of Frends Woods, Texas; brothers M. C. Beckham of Broken Arrow and Earl Beckham of Wagoner; and five grandchildren.

The family has requested memorials be made to the Broken Arrow Assembly of God Mission Department, 305 N. Main, Broken Arrow, Okla. 74012
