Arthur Hayes Beesley, 87, Sapulpa, died Friday, July 21, 1995 at his home.

Services have been scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at smith Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Tony Thornton and Russell Casey officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

Beesley was born Oct. 10, 1907 in Tulsa. He had been a Sapulpa resident since 1920. He was a retired mechanic for Southern Millwork.

He was a member of the Southside Christian Church and the Galilean Sunday School Class. Beesley was awarded a special book on dads at the church this year on Father’s Day.

He also was a member of the Sapulpa Senior Citizens and enjoyed working in his flower garden.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby, of the home; sons Ralph Beesley, Sapulpa, Loren Beesley, Prattville; daughters Mary Low Dillman, Sapulpa, Shirley Ann Lyon, Rogers, AR.

Other survivors include stepsons, Edward Lee Raper and Ronald W. Raper, of Sapulpa; sister, Rhonda Selling, Tulsa; a stepbrother Sonny Hicks, Lawton; 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

The family will headquarter at 1410 E. Lee. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Casketbearers were Hugh dawson, Eldon Hobbs, Willard Burkhamer, Wilbur Burkhamer, Pat Pray and Steve McMinn. Honorary casketbearers were Gene Myers, O.D. Clayton, J.W. Frederick, Troy Wiggins, Jim Brown, Bob Nale, Fred Mauch and Jeff Brown.
