FAYETTEVILLE — Herman W. Bell, 87, of Fayetteville, died Sep 11, 2001, at his home.
He was born Nov 15 1913 in Haskell, Okla., to Silas L. and Sarah A. Bingham Bell. He retired from the city of
Tulsa, Okla., after 27 years of service. He was a minister at various churches in Arkansas and Oklahoma. He was a member of Mount Olive Regular Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife Opal Bell.
Survivors include his wife Lue Bell of the home; three sons, Joe Ed Bell of
Beggs, Okla., George W. Bell and Loyd Allen Bell, both of Jenks, Okla.; three brothers, Jack Bell of Colcord, Okla., H. A. Bell of Kiefer Okla., and Bobby Bell of Glenpool, Okla.; four sisters, Zelona Bowman and Lorene Searcy both of Sapulpa, Okla., Mary Bowman of Kiefer and Anna Lee of Kellyville,
Okla.; one stepson, Randy Sisemore of Fayetteville; one stepdaughter Phyllis Boyd of Fayetteville; six
grandchildren; 12 great-grand-children; two step grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one
step great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 10 am Friday at Mount Olive Regular Baptist Church under the direction of Moore’s Chapel in Fayetteville. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm today at Moore’s.
A second service will be held at 10 am Monday at Jenks Regular Baptist Church. Burial will be in Bixby Cemetery, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Sapulpa. Visitation will be Sunday at Smith Funeral Home.
