Rites Friday at 3 for J. F. Bell, Who Died Early Wednesday. Joseph Fenton Bell, 71, pioneer business man of Sapulpa died Wednesday morning in a Tulsa hospital where he had been a patient the past month. His condition became serious during the past week. Funeral services are to be conducted Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock from the First Presbyterian church with the Rev. Roy Smith officiating and burial will be made in South Heights Cemetery. Mr. Bell was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and until the past 10 years was active in local civic affairs. A supporter of the Sapulpa Anglers club, a member of the B. P. O. Elks and of the Presbyterian church. For many years he operated the Bell Clothing Company of Sapulpa, coming to this city in 1909 from Meeker. Since disposing of the clothing store he has operated exclusive tailoring shops and only recently moved into new quarters on South Park street. Mr. Bell loved the out-of-doors and fished on many occasions, he also did a great deal of hunting until the past five or six years. Immediate survivors are the widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Bell of the home address, 102 S. Poplar, one daughter, Mrs. Bernard Steman of San Franccisco, a granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Steman, one brother of Henryetta, Dr. W. K. Bell, and a nice of Sapulpa, Mrs. Harold Boyne.
