Fred H. Bennett, 78, Rt. 3, Bristow, died Thursday at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 11 am Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa with Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Russell Casey will officiate.

Bennett was born Jan 5, 1916 in Kiefer. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was employed at McDonnell Douglas before his retirement.

He was a member of the Christian Church. He was a 32nd degree mason in the McAlester Consistory.

He married Lillie Gorforth 35 years ago in Miami, Okla. She survives at the home.

Other survivors include a daughter, Sharon Ormesher of Waterloo, Ill.; sons Dr. David H. Bennett of Camberra, Australia and Steve A. Bennett of Russellville, Ark.; and nine grandchildren.

Graveside services for Ferd (sic) Bennett were to be held at 11 am today in the Memorial Park Cemetery with Russell Casey officiating.

Interment was to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
