Jewel Martha Bernard, 72, Sapulpa, died Thursday at Northside Nursing Center.

Services will be 11 am Saturday at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Millard McGuire officiating.

Burial will be at Bixby Cemetery, Bixby.

She was born Feb 10, 1917, in Poteau, Okla.

Mrs. Bernard was a homemaker and lived in Sapulpa since 1943. She was a Free Will Baptist.

Survivors include sons Raymond of Collinsville, Jimmy and Gene of Sapulpa and Billy of Tulsa; sisters, Arlene Self, Christine Wickham, Macene Pendergrass, Joyce Cooper and Louise Pendergrass, all of Sapulpa; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home until noon Saturday.
