BRISTOW — Grandvel T. Bethel, 81, Bristow, died Thursday at Saint Francis Hospital, Tulsa. Services were Saturday at the First Church of God in Bristow, with the Rev Roland Tidwell officiating. Burial was at Magnolia Memorial Gardens in Bristow, under the direction of Schumacher Funeral Home, Bristow. He was born March 20, 1908, in Creek County and was a retired farmer and truck driver. He was preceded in death by wife Jessie Bethel and son Tom Bethel. Survivors include sons Bill and Harley Bethel of Bristow; daughter Mary Campbell of Bristow; brother Orvelle Bethel of Bristow; sisters Agnes Rinehart, Gladys Glass and Ruth Bethel, all of Bristow; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
