Rosey Alice (Wescott) Billings died Sunday in Shawnee. She was 84.

She was born Dec 12, 1914, in Bristow to Emery and Annie Wescott. She was raised in the Bristow area and attended Old 44 Schools. She married Joe Billings Nov 27, 1929, in Bristow. They lived in Oregon and Texas before settling in Oklahoma in 1970. The couple lived in Eufaula, Wewoka and Stigler before her husband's death in 1985.

She returned to Wewoka and later moved to Earlsboro, where she lived until her death.

Preceding her in death were her parents, E.O. and Annie Wescott; her husband, Joe Billings; one son, William Doyle Billings; two brothers, Arthur and Jim Wescott; and two sisters, Sylvia Welch and Susan Lough.

Surviving are a daughter, Judy and Richard Whitman of Earlsboro; grandchildren, Mark Billings of Phoenix, Ariz.; Shawn and Kelly Billings of Serin Fiesta, Ariz., Mark, Kent and Chris Whitman, all of Shawnee; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 pm Wednesday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Bristow with the Rev. Bryce Gemmill officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Stout Funeral Home of Wewoka.
