be held Oct. 21 for Inez B. Bilyeu of Eugene who died Oct. 17 of
age-related causes. She was 87.
Bilyeu was born Oct. 13, 1917, in Oilton, Okla., to Ora Claude
and Edna Guinn Withers. She married Edward Bilyeu on Oct. 13,
1940, in Lebanon. He died Nov. 13, 1978.
She moved to Lebanon in 1927, graduating from Lebanon High
School in 1936. She and her husband opened an insurance agency
in 1942 now known as Bilyeu-Mill Insurance. She enjoyed spending
time with her family, gardening and trips to the Oregon Coast
and Clear Lake. She moved to Alpine Springs Assisted Living in
Eugene in 2003. She belonged to the Lebanon First Assembly of
God Church and most recently attended Willamette Christian
Center in Eugene.
Survivors include four sons, Dean of Eugene, Dale of Lebanon,
Dick of Bend and Don of Edmonds, Wash.; a brother, William
Preever of Sunnyvale, Calif.; two sisters, Henrilla Reynolds of
Spring Sands, Okla., and Patsy Springstun of Tucson, Ariz.; 11
grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today, Oct. 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. in
Huston-Jost Funeral Home in Lebanon. Thursday's funeral will be
held at 11 am in Lebanon First Assembly of God Church, followed
by burial in the Lebanon IOOF Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Assembly of God
Department of Homeland Missions or the Gideons Living Memorial.
