Genive Blaylock Dies Following Short Illness

Genive Blaylock, 58, died Monday afternoon at Sierra View District Hospital following a short illness.

Mrs. Blaylock was born in Kellyville, Okla.; and came to this are 36 years ago. She was a cook at Good Shepherd Lutheran home in Terra Bella, and was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God.

Survivors include her husband, Guy Blaylock of Porterville; one son, Guy Richard Blaylock also of this city, four daughters Mrs. Gwendolyn Smith and Mrs. Glenda Parsley, both of Fresno, Mrs. Barbara Mizell of Shafter, and Mrs. Patricia Cahill of Bakersfield; her twin brother, Jennings Romine of Linden; three sisters, Mrs. Etta Kendall and Mrs. Beulah Beasley, both in Oklahoma, and Mrs. Anna Dickinson of Porterville; and 13 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be help at 10:30 am Thursday, Nov 4, in the Myers chapel.

Burial will be in a local cemetery.
