Louis Bluford, 77, of Sapulpa died Sunday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

A prayer service is planned for 7 pm Wednesday at Smith Funeral Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Lee and Walnut Church of Christ with Charles Little officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Bluford was born Aug 20, 1915, in Okfusgee County. A resident of Sapulpa for 45 years, he was a welder.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Bluford.

Survivors include his step-sons, Arlie Moore of Roswell, N.M. and Foxie Bluford of Lawton; grandchildren that lived in his home, Vera Harjo, Twila Knight, Susan Knight and Thomas Knight, Starling Knight and Flo Pahsetopah; brother, Charles Bluford of Stroud; sister, Ida Micco of Welty; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Louis Bluford were held at 2:30 pm today in the Lee and Walnut Church of Christ with Rev. Charles Little officiating.

Burial followed at Green Hills Memorial Gardens under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.

Serving as casket bearers were Starling Knight, Thomas Henry Knight, Morris Harjo, Jon Pahsetopah, Anthony Harjo and Nathaniel Smith.
