Updated: 06 Sep 2009 KING BOSTOCK King Bostock, 90, Tulsa, died Thursday, August 10, 1995. Services were held Tuesday at Fitzgerald Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. David Fox officiating. Burial was in South Heights Cemetery, directed by Fitzgerald Funeral Service. He was born in New Bethlehem, PA to Frank and Bessie Alice Bostock. He graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1923 and joined National Bank of Tulsa in 1926 as a bookkeeper. In 1952, he became the president of Farmers and Merchants Bank. He returned to National Bank of Tulsa in 1962 as senior vice president. In 1970 he started Harvard Properties, a Tulsa based oil exploration companies. He was president of the Tulsa County Tuberculosis and Health Association and treasurer of Tulsa County Nursing Service. He was director of the Tulsa Chamber of Commerce. He was a member of the Sapulpa Historical Society, St. John's Episcopal Church, the Green "I" Club. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Whittall, Lafayette, IN and Judy Frederick, Walnut Creek, CA; two sisters, Violet Vaughn, Sacramento, CA and Jane Troutman, Houston, TX; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen in 1994. |
