ROXIE BOWERMAN

Roxie (Roubison) Bowerman, 86, 1030 E. Hobson, died Monday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center.

Funeral arrangements are pending with Smith Funeral Home.

She was born Feb 22, 1906, in Marshall, Texas. A longtime Sapulpa resident, she owned and operated the Beacon Drive In for many years. She was also a member of Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Roubison, in 1962. She married Lester Bowerman October 13, 1977.

Survivors include her husband Lester; daughter Joan Martin of Oklahoma City; son George Marchael Roubison of Houston, Texas; step-daughters Carol Pierce and Ann Lee both of Macomb; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

ROXIE BOWERMAN

Funeral services for Roxie Robson Boweman are scheduled for 11 am Thursday at Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd with Rev. D. DeWitt Boyce officiating.

Burial will follow at South Heights Cemetery under the direction of smith Funeral Home.

Casket bearers will be John Wilcox, Bill Edwards, Tommy Hudgins, Bob Blevins, Art Fryer and Ronnie Boren.

Honorary bearers will be Leon Rape, Ernie Haught, Jim Haught and Jim Filbeck.

Mrs. Bowerman died Monday at Bartlett Memorial Medical Center. She was born Feb 22, 1904, in Marshall, Texas. A long-time Sapulpa resident, she was the former owner of Beacon Drive In.
