LARRY BOWLING
Larry (L. V.) Bowling, 65, 606 N. Hodge, died Sunday at Bartlett Memorial
Medical Center.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 pm Wednesday at Smith Funeral Chapel with
Kenneth Kern officiating.
Burial with full military rites will follow at Green
Hills Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Bowling was born June 20, 1926, in Saragorter, Tenn. He was a veteran of
World War II and the Korean War and had lived in Sapulpa for the past 35 years
after moving here from Tennessee. He was employed at Saint Francis Hospital
until his retirement in 1979. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars
and the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include wife, Betty; children Tamie Thompson of Catoosa, Cloria
Harrison of Missouri, Terry Crawford of Enid, Vicki Clark of Missouri, Suzy
Garrison of Missouri, Leslie Long of Sapulpa, Gary Burge of Phoenix, Ariz. Larry
Bowling of Okmulgee, and Kedrick, Jack and Bret Bowling, all of Sapulpa; 34
grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Larry (L. V.) Bowling were held today at Smith Funeral
chapel with the Rev. Kenneth Kern officiating.
Burial followed at Green Hills Memorial Gardens, with full military rites
presented by the Sapulpa veterans’ organizations.
Casketbearers were Phil Thompson, Larry Long, Kedrick Bowling, Jack Bowling,
Billy Long and Steve Long.
Mr. Bowling, a longtime Sapulpa resident, died Sunday at Bartlett Memorial
Medical Center.
