Lillie Marie Branson, 84, formerly of Beggs, died Tuesday evening, May 15, 2001 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was born July 7, 1916 in Morris, Okla., to Silas C. and Annie Pearl Odle. 

She married Brody Branson on March 31, 1934 in Beggs. They owned and operated a grocery store for many years. Mrs. Branson had resided in Sapulpa prior to her death. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Arthur and George Odle and a sister, Hazel Thompson. 

Survivors include her children, Montie Stephens of Graham, TX, Nancy Bishop of Sapulpa, Marilyn England of Sapulpa, Pam Sullivan of Arlington, TX, and David Branson of Broken Arrow, a sister, Maxine Benningfield of Reno, NV, a brother, John Odle of Bakerfield, CA, nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, May 17, 2001 at the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Tom Tidwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Beggs Cemetery with grandsons serving as casketbearers. 

Friends may visit the funeral home Thursday from 9 am until the funeral hour. Services are under the direction of the McClendon-Winters Funeral Home of Beggs.
