KIEFER - Carl W. Brewer, 60, of Kiefer, died Saturday at his home.

Services are scheduled for 2 pm Tuesday at Smith Funeral Chapel with the Rev. LeRoy Brummett officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

He was born March 28, 1933, in Sallisaw, Oklahoma., and had lived in the Kiefer-Sapulpa area for the past 15 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. A retired ironworker, he was a member of the Ironworkers Local 584.

Survivors include wife, Louise; son George Brewer of Tulsa; daughter Donna Douglas of Tulsa; stepchildren Rhonda Owens of Glenpool and Don Butcher of Kiefer; brothers Wilburn (Bo) Brewer of Verdigris, Okla., and Alvin Brewer of Wichita, Kan.; sisters Thelma Copeland of Sallisaw and Mary Graham of Troy Mo.; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services for Carl W. Brewer of Kiefer were held this afternoon at 2 at Smith Funeral Chapel with Rev. Vernon Brummett officiating. Burial followed at Green Hills Memorial Gardens.

Serving as casketbearers were Kelly Copeland, Howard Copeland, Mike Brewer, Carl Dale Sallee, Billy Paul Sallee, Jimmy Wayne Sallee, Keith Brewer, and Ronnie Sallee.

Brewer died Saturday at his home.
