James David Briant, 79, died Sunday, April 2, 1995 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

Graveside services were held today at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore, directed by Rice Funeral Service.

He was born Sept. 21, 1915 in Ray County, Mo., to David F. and Vada Weathington Briant.

He was a retired sheet metal worker with American Airlines and also did some farming.

Survivors include his wife, Jo Briant, of the home; a daughter, Constance Diane Ward, Sapulpa; a sister, Doris Louis Martin, Blue Springs, Mo.; and two grandchildren.

Memorial gifts can be made to the American Cancer Fund for Leukemia research.
