Joy Amelia Briggs, 52, 415 S. 59th West Ave., Tulsa, died Sunday, March 12, 1995 at her home.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Owen Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Sand Springs.

She was born Oct. 9, 1942 to David J. and Jennie Reynolds Cook.

She was a cook at Washington High School, Tulsa. She came to Tulsa 35 years ago from Westfield, Maine.

Survivors include two sons, Gerald R. Briggs and Roger G. Briggs, both of the home; two brothers, David Cook, Mounds, and Walter Cook, Chanute, Kans.; and two sisters, Mary Pascoe, Clarksville, Ind., and Carolyn Whittaker, Presque Isle, Mass.

The family will headquarter at the David Cook home south of Kiefer. Owen Funeral Home directed funeral arrangements.
