Lawrence Dale Briggs, 57, Lawton, Okla., died Friday at the Veterans Center in
Claremore, Okla.
Graveside services will be 2 pm Tuesday at Bristow
City Cemetery with the Rev. Carol Cook officiating.
Burial will be under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
He was born Oct. 22, 1931, in ElDorado, Ark. Mr. Briggs retired from the regular
Army in 1972 after 23 ½ years service. He served in the Korean Conflict and in
Vietnam.
He was a self-employed appliance repairman after his retirement.
Survivors include father Harold of El Dorado; mother and stepfather Louise and
Raymond Maples of Bristow; son Larry of Woodbridge, Va., and brother William of
Port Neches, Texas.
