Shawnee resident Georgia Lee Brizendine died Saturday at a local hospital. She was 88.

Mrs. Brizendine was born July 27, 1909, in Shamrock, Okla., to Charles Oscar and Rose Etta (Dick) Wagner. She graduated from high school and attended two years of college.

She married Roy A. Brizendine in 1927 and was a bookkeeper. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two sisters and a brother-in-law, Helen and Roy Hall of Shawnee, and Nora Thomas of Abilene, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services were held Monday at Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. Jim Crawford officiating, under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
